We announced that the United Metal Labor Union had decided to be on strike at our workplace in our statement dated January 11, 2024. The parties in the ongoing Collective Labor Agreement discussions held between the Turkish Metal Industrialists Union (MESS), the employers union to which our company is a member, and the United Metal Labor Union;
came to an agreement on January 17, 2024, and reached a full consensus on the items discussed. As a result of this consensus, the Collective Labor Agreement process between MESS and the United Metal Labor Union is definitively concluded until August 31, 2025.
The subject Group's Collective Labor Agreement signed by and between MESS and United Metal Labor Union on January 17, 2024, which will be effective between September 1, 2023 - August 31, 2025, states as follows; I.For the first 6 months of the contract; if hourly wages are below 65 TL/hour, they will be increased to 65 TL/hour effective as from September 1, 2023, after which a 32% wage increase will be applied to hourly wages, followed by a fixed increase of 30 TL/hour. Moreover, 2 TL/hour will be added to the hourly wages only once for each full year of the seniority period, not exceeding a total of 30TL/hour. The date of initial employment will be considered for the victims of the delayed pension age, i.e. EYT, in calculating the raise based on seniority. II.Workers, whose employment contracts are ongoing on March 1, 2024, will receive a 30% increase in their hourly wages of February 29, 2024, on March 1, 2024. In the event that the increase rate of the TurkStat Consumer Price Index (General Index) for the period of 1.9.2023-29.2.2024 exceeds 30%, the entire sum exceeding the 30% rate will be added to the hourly wages on February 29, 2024, as from March 1, 2024. III.The hourly wages of workers, whose employment contracts are ongoing on September 1, 2024, will receive an increase in their hourly wages of August 31, 2024, on 1.9.2024 by adding 3 points to the increase rate of the TurkStat Consumer Price Index (General Index) for the period of 1.3.2024-31.8.2024. IV.The hourly wages of workers, whose employment contracts are ongoing on March 1, 2025, will receive an increase in their hourly wages of February 28, 2025, on 1.3.2025 in proportion to the increase rate of the TurkStat Consumer Price Index (General Index) for the period of 1.9.2024-28.2.2025. V.The rate of increase in all fringe benefits will increase by 140 percent in the first year of the agreement and by the rate of inflation in the second year.
